BUY MY OWN VALENTINE'S DAY GIFT?
After the last couple of years, I say - Do whatever you need to. Whatever you want to. Whatever you can to add joy to your life!
Buy what you can to make you happy. Enjoy the freedoms that you can!
CAN I BUYSELF SOMETHING FOR VALENTINES IF I'M SINGLE?
Being single if I want something for Valentines Day I have to buy it for myself.
It's either that or quickly sign up to dating apps and start promising undying love to guys I think will part with the cash. JOKES!
Thing is though, maybe it's easier for singles to buy your own Valentine's gift?
If you're single it's acceptable to treat yourself on Valentines Day. Take yourself for dinner or out for a drink. As long as you don't mind watching all the loved up couples holding hands and gazing into each others eyes.
When you're single you can buy yourself a gift. A new dress, those killer shoes or that fabulous piece of jewellery that you've been eyeing off!
CHOOSE YOUR OWN VALENTINES GIFT IF YOU'RE IN A RELATIONSHIP
BUT... Is it OK to buy your own gift if you're in a relationship? I SAY YES!
Before you start with the whole 'Will he think I don't appreciate him? Will he be annoyed? Will he think I'm guilting him?"
Yes, maybe I can read your mind. LOL.
It's easy to think that once you're in a relationship Valentines Day becomes the most romantic day, where you wake up to breakfast in bed with roses, gifts and so much love you're almost late for work.
Doesn't always work like that though, does it?
And the reality can be that your partner feels the pressure, runs out of time and you end up with wilting servo flowers. Maybe one of those cheap and nasty cupid soft toys that I know you've been dying for?
Yes, I know... it's the thought that counts. And it is. Truly it is.
You ARE allowed to think of yourself you know?
You can buy your own Valentines present.
Really. I give you permission.
MAKE IT EASY FOR HIM ON VALENTINES DAY
Let's face it, he'll probably be grateful (Like that time you got the Christmas gift for the kids to give you) and very happy that you're not peeved that he didn't plan earlier, remember a gift or remember at all!
This really becomes your choice, loathe Valentines Day, be convinced he doesn't care, accept a waste of money gift. OR Buy your own Valentines Day Gift.
If you're anything like me, I love an excuse to buy myself something nice, something I don't really NEED but I really WANT.
This Valentines Day I encourage you to get with the thought of 'Valentines Day is all about love' and stop questioning what type of love, not everything needs to be neatly labelled. (Apart from my pantry, which isn't and if you feel like popping over to take charge .. anyway, I digress.
This Valentines Day celebrate your own love for you. Buy your own Valentines gift.
Forget the cheesy card though. That's not right. Don't buy yourself one of those.
CAN I BUY A VALENTINES PRESENT FOR A FRIEND?
Are you feeling generous?
She's a great friend, always there for you. Patient and kind and always seems to be helping you out, you don't know what you'd do without her and you love her to bits.
Buy a Valentines present for a friend you love also (If you can part with it).
Or maybe your sister, daughter or mum?
What should you buy yourself for a Valentines Day gift?
Something you REALLY want but don't need.
YES jewellery is right up there at the top of the list.
He probably doesn't really understand how important it is to have that new ring, that bangle, necklace or those earrings that will be perfect!
Buy it for yourself! Show him all the appreciation for supporting your decision to buy your own gift!
And if there's no him?
Why are we even having this conversation?
Buy your own dam Valentines Gift!
