 JADE BANGLE - NATURAL NEPHRITE

Captivating. Fascinating. Timeless.

There is a reason jade has been worn for thousands of years across Chinese, Maori, Mayan, and Indigenous Australian cultures. It's not just beautiful. It means something.

This is our classic jade bangle - natural, untreated nephrite jade in a gentle, wearable green that suits every skin tone and goes with everything you own. At 14mm wide it sits beautifully on the wrist without being overpowering - elegant enough for a formal event, understated enough for every single day.

What is Jade?

Jade is one of the world's most culturally significant gemstones. It has been treasured for over 7,000 years - worn as protection, gifted as a symbol of love, and passed down through generations as a precious heirloom. In Chinese culture jade is considered more precious than gold. In Maori culture it represents strength, connection to ancestors, and status.

Nephrite jade is one of the two true jades - the other being jadeite. Our bangles are made with natural, untreated nephrite jade sourced from multiple locations around the world. No dyes. No treatments. Just the real thing.

What You Wear

A classic solid jade bangle in natural nephrite jade. The gentle green colour has natural variations throughout - because this is a real stone, no two bangles are identical. Yours will be uniquely yours.

Where You Wear It

Everywhere. That's the honest answer. The width and colour make this one of the most versatile bangles you can own. Wear it alone for a clean, classic look. Stack it with other bangles for texture and colour. It works with gold, silver, casual, formal, beach, boardroom - all of it.

Tradition says to wear your jade bangle on the left wrist, as it sits closer to your heart. But the spiritual properties of protection, love, and good luck will be with you on whichever wrist you choose.

How It Will Make You Feel

Green jade is the stone of prosperity, protection, and good fortune. It is believed to attract luck, promote harmony, calm an overactive mind, and create a steady, grounding energy around the wearer. In feng shui it is considered one of the most powerful stones for abundance and positive energy.

Wearing jade close to the skin is said to allow its energy to work continuously - which is why the bangle form has been so beloved across cultures for millennia. It never comes off. It becomes part of you.

Is My Jade Real?

Two simple tests. Press it to your cheek - real jade feels noticeably cool and smooth against the skin. Try to scratch it with your fingernail - real jade won't scratch. Our bangles are genuine natural nephrite jade, not dyed glass, synthetic stone, or imitation material.

Treated jade (known as Type B or Type C) has been chemically bleached or dyed to improve its appearance. Ours is Type A - natural and untreated - which is the only jade worth buying for its energy, longevity, and value.

Caring for Your Jade Bangle

Jade sits at 6-7 on the Mohs hardness scale - durable for everyday wear but vulnerable to impact. It will crack or break if dropped on tiles or concrete or knocked hard against something solid. Take it off for high impact activities and store it somewhere safe.

To clean: warm soapy water, rinse, dry. Avoid hot water and saunas.

A tip from people who have worn jade for years: a little baby oil applied and buffed off with a soft cloth keeps it looking beautiful and brings out the depth of the green.

If Your Jade Bangle Breaks

No need to be upset. The most beautiful belief around jade bangle breaking is this - it has done its job. It absorbed something negative that was meant for you, taking the impact so you didn't have to. Many people find this genuinely comforting, and choose to keep the pieces as a reminder of their bangle's protection.

Sizing

As a natural stone, colour variations and inclusions are present in every piece. This is not a flaw - it's proof it's real.
